Gerber Baby Food Settlement.   Is it real or just a hoax?

We get a lot of email from people asking about the Gerber Baby Food settlement and how they can collect, like they're going get a million bucks or something!  Here's the real deal:

Gerber is not involved in any lawsuit or settlement which you'll get any money for.  This is just an urban legend, just like the one about "Mikey"  from the Life cereal commercials in the 70's dying from pop rocks candy exploding in his stomach.  Rumors have been going around for some time that Gerber was convicted of price fixing charges, but these rumors are false.  There was a pricing settlement, but it was not related to Gerber, and the settlement filing time has come and gone, so as far as everyone is concerned, there is no settlement any longer.   So we can finally put this one to rest with all the other urban legends.
